#1.Tere Naam
The popular film Tere Naam starring Salman Khan was a remake of Vikram-starrer Sethu, a 1999’s Tamil film. Bala directed the original film, which was remade in several languages, including Hindi, by Satish Kaushik. The films were based on the real-life incident of a friend of Bala’s who fell in love, lost his mind, and ended up in a mental asylum.
