Border 2 Advance Booking Day 1: Sunny Deol’s next big-budget film, “Border 2“, a sequel to J. P. Dutta’s 1997 blockbuster, Border, is just 3 days away from release on the big screens, on 23rd January, 2026, with the Republic Day weekend. The full-fledged advance booking has kicked off on 19th January, and so far, the film has roared past the ₹1 crore milestone at the Indian box office, which clearly indicates the buzz around the film is insane.
Including the lead, Sunny Paji, the film also features Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty in crucial portrayals.
Border 2 Advance Booking Day 1
According to the industry tracker Sacnilk.com report till 11 AM (IST), Border 2 has sold 54283 tickets nationwide in the Hindi 2D format and grossed ₹1.72 crore (excluding block seats). So far, the film has secured 7272 shows across the country, which will witness a solid boost in the next two days.
It will be interesting to see whether Sunny Deol’s epic war drama succeeds in beating his last massive blockbuster, Gadar 2’s (2023) pre-booking record of ₹ 17.6 crore, or not.
Directed by Anurag Singh, the film was penned by Nidhi Dutta and backed by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, J. P. Dutta & Nidhi Dutta. Anshul Chobey handled the cinematography, which was edited by Manish More, and the music was delivered by Anu Malik, Mithoon and others.
