As per the early estimate report, Taapsee Pannu’s ‘Assi’ debuted at the Indian box office around ₹1.1-1.2 crore net and failed to outperform the rival Mrunal Thakur’s romantic drama ‘Do Deewane Seher Mein‘, which opened with an estimated ₹1.5 crore. Despite this, Assi has beaten Pulkit Samrat & Varun Sharma’s ‘Rahu Ketu’ and secured the 6th spot among the top Hindi opening movies in 2026 so far.
