KD: The Devil Storyline Breakdown
KD: The Devil is about Kaalidasa (Dhruva Sarja), an irresponsible and uneducated person who does what he wants with his life. Kali is a passionate, reckless, and highly loyal person. This is in opposition to his elder brother, Dharma, who, acted out by Ramesh Aravind, is an educated and orderly person.
As a child, Kali worships Dhak Deva, a tough and dangerous underworld don, acted out by Sanjay Dutt. In the process of growing up, Kali becomes increasingly involved in the criminal world of power struggle and violence due to his worship of Dhak Deva.
Performances
The film rests on the shoulders of Dhruva Sarja with his dynamic performance. He suits perfectly the role of a rebellious but emotionally charged hero, but the character does not have much depth sometimes. His performance shines in action sequences and tense situations.
Sanjay Dutt as Dhak Deva commands respect with his performance. But his character gets underused in spite of being the main part of the plot. Ramesh Aravind brings balance with his understated performance that contrasts with the madness around Kali.

Positive Points
One of the good things about the film is its ambition. It aims at making an entertaining film with an epic scale and spectacular visuals. Sometimes, the film succeeds with the help of exciting action sequences and dramatic encounters.
The background score and visuals enhance the cinematic experience, which fans of action films will appreciate.

Negative Points
The movie also suffers from quite a few problems. The story is convoluted and confusing, leaving no room for suspense at any point. Moreover, there is a constant feeling that the filmmakers have opted for form over substance, which makes this one “noisy” to watch.
The other flaw with this movie is its extensive use of clichés. There is an undeniable inspiration from the works such as KGF, yet here it doesn’t really make sense.
Finally, gratuitous scenes, overused violence, and excessive action could be another downside to consider.
Conclusion
To conclude this KD: The Devil movie review, the work under discussion is rather inconsistent despite having some great scenes and performances.
If you are a fan of mass-action entertainers, you might give this movie a one-time watch, however, that’s probably it.
