Following an underwhelming opening weekend score due to mixed word of mouth, the crime thriller film experienced a sharp 62.16% decline in box office earnings, signaling troubling news for its long-term theatrical run. The film’s theatrical performance is putting Priyadarshan’s directorial versatility to the test.

Monday is universally considered the ultimate box office “litmus test” for any theatrical release. Akshay Kumar & Saif Ali Khan starrer Haiwaan has seen a massive crash, as it scored ₹70 lakh net on day 4 (Monday), across 3,265 domestic shows. Reportedly, the film registered ₹7.35 crore net over the opening weekend. With the latest Monday contribution, the KVN Productions and Thespian Films-backed thriller film’s domestic total reached ₹8.05 crore.

Following a low-key weekend, the Monday overall occupancy was deeply impacted by Haiwaan‘s box office performance, which led to a single-day net collection hovering under the ₹1 crore mark on Day 4. The current trend is hinting that it is likely to see more crashes in the coming weekdays.
