12th Fail Day 1 Box Office Collection: Vikrant Massey’s Drama film Mints a Handsome Number Against Kangana Ranaut’s Tejas

12th Fail Day 1 Box Office Collection: Vidhu Vinod Chopra wrote and directed the drama film 12th Fail, inspired by the real-life stories of IPS Officer Manoj Kumar Sharma and IRS Officer Shraddha Joshi. The film unfolds the story of the struggle behind their success. The film hit the big screens on October 27th, under the banners of Vinod Chopra Films and Zee Studios. After its debut, the film received a 9.5 rating on IMDb based on 109 individual rating. 

According to the Market Tracker Sacnilk portal report, the film had an overall 9.09% Hindi occupancy across the domestic theatres. Morning shows footfalls were 4.30%, afternoon shows footfalls were 6.97%, followed by evening and night shows footfalls of 9.33% and 15.77%, respectively. On the other hand, the film had an overall 6.50% Kannada occupancy across the country. Morning shows footfalls were 0%, afternoon shows 1%, followed by evening and night shows footfalls of similar 6.00%. The drama film was released only in 600 shows on the opening day, with limited shows, but the film minted quite a handsome number, ₹ 1.10 Cr net in India against Kangana Ranaut’s AIr Action Thriller Tejas.
