Diljit Dosanjh ropes in Border 2 in the pivotal role: Following Sunny Deol and Varun Dhawan, the versatile singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh joined the team of Boarder 2, the sequel to 1997’s critically and commercially acclaimed biggest war drama film Border, directed by J. P. Dutta. Today, 6th September, Dosanjh confirmed it by proudly sharing a video clip with his voiceover. The film is gearing up for its grand theatrical debut on 23rd January, 2026, on the auspicious occasion of Republic Day.

Toray, Diljit Dosanjh took to his Instagram handle and shared a video clip and captioned it: “Pehli Goli Dushman Chalaega aur Akhri Goli Hum (The enemy will fire the first bullet and we will fire the last one)! Honored to stand with such a powerful team and walk in the footsteps of our Soldiers! #Border2.” Sunny Deol also shared this video clip on his Instagram handle, welcomed Diljit Dosanjh into the team, and wrote: “Welcoming Fauji @diljitdosanjh to the Battalion of #Border2.”

The biggest war drama franchise’s second installment will be directed by Anurag Singh, written by Nidhi Dutta and Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, JP Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta. Stars are ensemble with the venture are Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, and Diljit Dosanjh in the pivotal roles. The latest report hinting that filming will begin in October this year.
