Dude box office collection day 1: Pradeep Ranganathan and Mamitha Baiju led the much-awaited Tamil rom-com actioner “Dude“, debuted in worldwide theatres yesterday, October 17th, and was simultaneously released in the Telugu language. On the opening day, the film debuted at the box office with a remarkable Rs 9.5 Cr+ net in India.

As per the industry tracker Sacnilk.com report, Dude kicked off the Indian box office journey on a strong note, earning Rs 9.75 Cr net in India, fueled by a notable pre-booking of Rs 3.89 Cr, after selling over 2.44 lakh tickets across 4744 shows nationwide.
Dude Tamil version day 1 box office collection beats Kantara Chapter 1
Interestingly, for the racked-up total figure, the original Tamil version of Dude dominated the total collection, with Rs 6.5 Cr net, and ranked as the 8th top Kollywood net opening movie in 2025 so far, beating Rishab Shetty’s PAN Indian magnum opus Kantara Chapter 1‘s opening day Tamil score of Rs 5.5 Cr. With the initial positive word of mouth, the film is expected to gain significant momentum over the weekend.

Dude registered Rs 3.25 Cr Telugu net on day 1, holding strong despite new arrivals like Telusu Kada & Mithra Mandali, which failed to secure a spot among the top 10 Telugu openings of 2025 so far. Interestingly, Telugu newcomers fell short of surpassing Dude’s opening day score.
