Indian film actress Aditi Rao Hydari has been featured in the first UK-India co-produced film “Lioness” Indian-origin as well as British star Paige Sandhu will be considered the lead in Lioness. The film is described as the first authorized Indo-UK co-production under an agreement penned in 2008.

Starring Kajri Babbar, also helmed by her, and as her opening feature, the film chronicles the story of two British women living in the UK, one hundred years apart. The story is based on an ancient figure, Princess Sophia Duleep Singh. Paige Sandhu will play the role of Princess Sophia Dalip Singh, while Aditi will appear as a fictional character named Mehak, a settler woman living in London.

Only Aditi Rao Hydari made her last appearance in Vikramaditya Motwane’s Amazon Prime Video TV series Jubilee and also appeared as an ensemble in the second season of the ancient drama period web series Taj: Divided by Blood streaming on ZEE5. The globally renowned diva Aditi Rao Hydari will rope in critically acclaimed auteur Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s debut web series Heeramandi: The Queen’s on the Ancient Period of the Mughals, which will be streaming on Netflix.
