Sudha Kongara directed and wrote the much-awaited Hindi drama film “Sarfira,” gearing up to release in theatres on July 12. Eight days prior to the release, on July 4, the film finally got clearance from the CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification). Featuring in the film are Akshay Kumar in the principal role, alongside Paresh Rawal and Radhika Madan, who will appear in critical supporting roles.

On July 4th (Thursday), Akshay Kumar fronted the Tamil remake of Soorarai Pottru, “Sarfira,” with a “U” certificate, which indicates the entire family can experience the film together. Along with that, it also received 2 hours, 35 minutes, and 11 seconds (155 minutes, 11 seconds) of theatrical runtime.

The Hindi drama film is a Tamil remake of Soorarai Pottru, which itself is an adaptation of Simply Fly: A Deccan Odyssey, written by G. R. Gopinath, directed and written by Sudha Kongara, dialogues penned by Pooja Tolani, and produced by Aruna Bhatia, Vikram Malhotra, Jyothika, and Suriya. Niketh Bommireddy handled the cinematography, edited by Sathish Suriya, and it was all set to release on the big screens on July 12 under the banners Abundantia Entertainment, 2D Entertainment, and Cape of Good Films.
