Amaran global box office collection day 1: Rajkumar Periasamy directed and screenplayed the Tamil biographical action war drama “Amaran,” adapted from Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh’s book series “India’s Most Fearless: True Stories of Modern Military Heroes,” which is based on a segment based on India’s brave soldier Major Mukund Varadarajan, a.k.a. Maddy. The Sivakarthikeyan lead film on its opening day hits the remarkable Rs 34 Cr mark at worldwide box office.
According to the industry tracker Sacnilk.com report at the domestic market, the PAN Indian film was opened with a handsome Rs 21.65 Cr net; out of the score, the Tamil version alone contributed the majority of Rs 17.7 Cr and became the 3rd top Tamil net opener film in 2024, replacing Kamal Haasan-fronted Indian 2 (Rs 16.5 Cr). Alongside, in the Telugu version, it managed handsome Rs 3.8 Cr, in the Hindi version, Rs 0.12 Cr, and in the Malayalam and Kannada versions, it jointly accumulated Rs 0.03 Cr.

As per the latest industry tracker report, Amaran on the opening day at the domestic market has grossed outstanding Rs 25 Cr (Karnataka: 1.9 Cr; APTG: 4.5 Cr; Tamil Nadu: 16.8 Cr; Keral: 1.2 Cr; and Rest of India: 0.6 Cr); on the other hand, at the overseas market it supasses Rs 9 Cr gross mark, bringing the opening day worldwide gross collection in the range of Rs 34+ Cr. It’s worth adding that, as per the Prime Media report, at the North American market, the biopic action drama has crossed the $200K (approx. Rs 2.5 Cr) mark.
