Anthony Mackie’s Captain America-Brave New World Twitter review out now!
I hate to say this but #CaptainAmericaBraveNewWorld was a big disappointment. Felt very empty & lacks the heart of a Captain America movie. The action is edited to death with thousands of cuts. The dialogue is very cheesy. Weird looking green screens. Undercooked villains. Don’t expect a lot of Red Hulk either. This felt like it was supposed to be a Hulk movie that just shoehorned Sam as the lead.
#CaptainAmericaBraveNewWorld both met & exceeded my low expectations. You can feel the reshoots throughout the film & the main villain was a big miss. But this is the most cohesive the MCU has felt since 2019. Sam has good chemistry w/ his partners & it can deliver the feels.
#CaptainAmericaBraveNewWorld is flat out good. It feels like an MCU return to form, progressing the overall story with a thrilling tale of its own. It’s pretty nonstop! The villain feels a bit secondary. Solid action. Harrison Ford is ALL IN. Mackie really claims the mantle.
After watching #CaptainAmericaBraveNewWorld last night, I rewatched the decade-old Winter Soldier—the closest MCU comparison. If you think “Marvel is back,” do a double feature and say it with a straight face. I dare you.
#CaptainAmerica: #BraveNewWorld isn’t as bad as I feared it would be (extremely low expectations), but it’s not a good movie. Everything is over-explained, very little actually shown. This feels custom made for Disney+ and isn’t the remedy we needed for Marvel Studio films. C
Captain America: Brave New World is a THRILL RIDE from start to finish! Anthony Mackie solidifies himself as Cap, delivering action, heart, and heroism like never before. Brave New World is gritty, intense, and packed with Top Gun-esque action. And Harrison Ford as President Ross aka Red Hulk? Chef’s kiss.
