The film was opened in the domestic market with ₹ 8.7 Cr [Ta: 8.05 Cr; Hi: 0.6 Cr; Ka: 0.05 Cr] net, followed by on day 2 the film Sustain Strong Hold and minted ₹ 7.45 Cr [Ta: 6.65 Cr; Hi: 0.7 Cr; Ka: 0.1 Cr], bringing the total India net to ₹ 16.15 Cr [Ta: 14.7 Cr; Hi: 1.3 Cr; Ka: 0.15 Cr].

Captain Miller on day 2 had an overall 43.51% Tamil occupancy across the domestic theaters. Morning shows footfalls were 27.48%, afternoon shows footfalls were 44.25%, and side by side evening and night shows footfalls were 43.38% and 58.92%, respectively.
And in the Hindi version, the film had an overall 10.05% occupancy. Morning shows footfalls were 6.37%, afternoon shows footfalls were 8.73%, followed by evening and night shows footfalls of 10.66% and 14.44%, respectively.

Based on the market tracker Sacnilk.com report, Captain Miller grossed ₹ 13.80 Cr on the opening day. On day 2, 1st Saturday, Sustain Strong Hold, and grossed ₹ 8.6 Cr (Karnataka: ₹ 0.9 Cr, APTG: ₹ 0.01 Cr, Tamil Nadu: ₹ 6.1 Cr, Kerala: ₹ 0.6 Cr, and Rest of India: ₹ 0.99 Cr) in India, and ₹ 1.2 Cr in the overseas market, and raised the total 2 days worldwide gross ₹ 23.60 Cr.
As per the movie buff Laxmi Kanth’s Twitter report, Dhanush’s Kerala market is getting bigger with this film. He wrote, “#CaptainMiller – Highest Day 1 for #Dhanush in Kerala. Day 2 was 30% Higher than Day 1.. Today’s Collection will be Higher than Day 2..
