Coolie box office collection day 4: Sun Pictures produced the Tamil action thriller “Coolie“, featuring big names like Rajinikanth, Nagarjuna Akkineni, and Upendra, and finally wrapped up the inaugural weekend with a splendid run so far. The magnum opus was secured around a double century within 4 days of the extended weekend; for the racked-up score, the opening day’s incredible contribution of ₹ 65 Cr played a crucial role. Despite opening with a historic figure, from the second day it kept dropping at the box office, and on the first Sunday it registered the lowest score since its release. Rajinikanth’s Coolie box office collection day 4 sees 10.76% dip
Lokesh Kanagaraj directed and wrote the mass actioner, after opening with
a solid number, on the second day, saw a 15.77% dip and added ₹ 54.75 Cr, followed by the third day, which saw the biggest dip of the weekend, 27.85%, and added ₹ 39.5 Cr, which brings the 3-day total Indian score to ₹ 159.25 Cr.
On day 4 (1st Sunday), despite the weekend holiday, it saw a 10.76% dip and added the lowest score of the first weekend, ₹ 35.25 Cr, which pushed the 4-day extended weekend score very close to the Double Century club, ₹ 194.5 Cr. The 1st Sunday number marked 58.07% higher than superstar Rajinikanth’s last release, Vettaiyan’s score of the specific day of ₹ 22.3 Cr.

Out of Rajinikanth-led Coolie’s extended weekend net score of ₹ 194.5 Cr, the Tamil version alone contributed a massive ₹ 128.05 Cr, setting the record for the biggest Tamil opening weekend of 2025. Which already surpassed Ajith Kumar‘s Good Bad Ugly’s ₹ 83.66 Cr and is expected to remain unbeaten by any Tamil release this year.
