Coolie USA and Canada advance booking for premiere: The creator of the action thriller franchise Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU), Lokesh Kanagaraj, directed and wrote the high-octane Tamil action thriller “Coolie“, locked to land on the silver screens on 14 August 2025. The stars who joined forces with the venture are Rajinikanth, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Soubin Shahir, Upendra, Shruti Haasan and others. Nine days ahead of the grand North American premiere, it has already racked up an incredible $1.12M gross for advance booking, which clearly indicates the box office havoc is brewing and will hit the silver screens on Independence Day weekend.

Rajinikanth’s high-octane action thriller Coolie, 9 days ahead of the grand North American premiere, has grossed an impressive $1.12M (Rs 9.84 Cr), marking the fastest $1M-grossing Kollywood premiere booking film of all time in the USA and Canada market. It’s worth mentioning that the major USA market contributed a significant $969,551 (Rs 8.51 Cr) gross after selling 37,043 tickets, as per the reputed market tracker Venky Box Office.
The report also added, So far it has secured 1159 shows across 431 theatres in the USA alone. The consistent trend will continue with no major slowdowns; all eyes are on a mammoth opening.
