Costao trailer review: A Bhanushali Studios Limited in association with Bombay Fables Motion Pictures presentation and the versatile Nawazuddin Siddiqui led much-awaited Hindi biography drama film “Costao“, trailer out now; gearing up to premiere on Zee5 from 1st May, 2025. The talented Siddiqui returns as a brave & honest customs officer, Mr Costao Fernandes, who is on the track to unveil 1500 kg of gold smuggling, marked as the biggest smuggling in the history of independent Indian history. During this race, he kills a powerful drug lord in self-defence; how will he battle against this situation?
Including the lead Siddiqui, the true-story-based film is also an ensemble featuring Priya Bapat, Kishor Kumar Huli, Gagan Dev Riar, Hussain Dalal and others.

The 3.14-minute wide gripping trailer spotlights the fearless customs officer Mr Costao Fernandes, set in 1990. He has become popular in Goa for his tactics and fearlessly handling the situation. This time he is on the track to bring up the biggest gold smuggling in the history of India. But in the run of this massive scam, he kills a powerful drug lord in self-defence. How will he and his family suffer after that incident? Will he get justice?
Nawazuddin Siddiqui delivers the full potential to justify the real-life character, Mr Costao Fernandes, especially his crucial dialogue: “Sir, Agreed, the goalkeeper is alone during a penalty shoot-out. But if his coach cheers the rival team, the team spirit is fu*ked for sure.” Overall, the powerful glimpse ensures an intense crime drama with a backbone of deep emotion.
