Dacoit Story Summary
The plot talks about two lovers who get separated through fate. The first protagonist, named Hari (Adivi Sesh), is imprisoned in jail, whereas his lover Saraswati ends up marrying another man because of her own reasons. Finally, their fates unite after several years in such conditions that the audience gets intrigued.
The plot seems quite basic, yet there is more in the screenplay for keeping the audience engaged.
Cast Performance
In an action-driven role, once again, Adivi Sesh comes up with a decent performance with a screen presence and a definite improvement in emotion-based scenes. A large part of the movie is dependent on his acting.
Mrunal Thakur gives an amazing and varied performance as she portrays different facets of her character effortlessly. The chemistry between her and Adivi Sesh makes for one of the film’s highlights.
Anurag Kashyap and Prakash Raj, among other supporting actors, do great jobs as well, with even Kamakshi Bhaskarla delivering a noteworthy performance.
What’s Good
One of the best things about Dacoit is definitely the second half of the movie. In Dacoit, viewers will get to see several excellent action and chase sequences that are extremely exciting. With two twists, there isn’t anything predictable about this movie.
The cinematography by Danush Bhaskar deserves a special mention since he has managed to capture the action sequences and the visuals quite efficiently.
The depth of emotion shared by the two lead actors, along with the action components, provides the movie with an excellent blend that caters to the masses.
What’s Bad
Although Dacoit has many positive features, it is quite obvious that the movie lacks creativity. In this regard, the plot is somewhat generic since it involves separated lovers coming together to achieve their common goals.
The pace is rather slow in the initial part of the movie, with unnecessary delays in creating the tension required. Certain editing problems and incomplete scenes further mar the plot of the film. Furthermore, certain dialogue sequences and dubbing are less impactful.
Special Features
The highly publicized song did not have the expected impact on the audience. Moreover, there were certain aspects related to dialect usage that could have been improved.
Technical
The music composer Bheems Ceciroleo’s work is fine, whereas the background score has successfully enhanced the action element. Production quality is excellent. The director has done well in Shaneil Deo.
The debutant Shaneil Deo, as a director, tried his best to meet the huge audience expectations.
Final Verdict
Dacoit is an entertaining romantic action film that relies more on its performances and its second half for entertainment than anything else. Even though it doesn’t come up with a new story, its twists and turns, action scenes, and emotions provide the viewer with some interesting moments.
