Siddharth Anand, the director of the most controversial movie of 2023, Pathaan, once again under his direction, 2024’s one of the most hyped Hindi films, “Fighter,” reportedly got rejected for release in the Gulf (GCC) countries, except the UAE, due to the violated content. The film was set to debut in global theaters on January 25th; on January 19th, Deepika Padukone and Hrithik Roshan Starrer film received U/A certification from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) board.

Based on the recent report, the GCC censor screening was held on January 10th, but today, January 23rd, the GCC censor denied to approve the censor certification, and the reason behind it has not yet come out. Still, no official report came out from the maker’s side. If the film wouldn’t premiere in the mentioned countries, the film will face over $1 – 1.5 Million collection drop at the Global market.
Recently, the Pinkvilla film Journalist Himesh Mankad shared this unexpected news on his Twitter handle and wrote, “GULF CENSOR BOARD PUTS A BAN ON FIGHTER! Censor board in Gulf Countries have put a “Ban” on the release of #Fighter. The #HrithikRoshan, #DeepikaPadukone film directed by #SiddharthAnand won’t release in GCC with exception of UAE.“
