Deva final box office collection day 1: Rosshan Andrrews’s directorial Hindi action thriller “Deva,” based on Bobby–Sanjay penned 2023’s psychological thriller Mumbai Police, was entered in the global theatres on 31st January, 2025 with the star-studded Shahid Kapoor, Pooja Hegde, Pavail Gulati, and others. On the opening day, Zee Studios & Roy Kapur Films produced action thriller that debuted at the Indian box office with a decent Rs 5 Cr+ net in India, and beats Sonu Sood’s film Fateh.

As per the pre-release buzz, the film was expected to begin its box office journey with a double-digit number but unfortunately failed to meet expectations due to negative to mixed reviews and opened with a shocking Rs 5.78 Cr net in India, which marks it as one of the poorest box office opening films in Shahid Kapoor’s career.
Despite Deva looking for a handsome mass audience response, on the floor the mass circuits performed poorly; on the other hand, the select multiplexes in urban centres performed better. The opening day score beats Sonu Sood’s Fateh (Rs 2.61 Cr) and is registered as the 3rd top opening movie in 2025, just after Game Changer’s Hindi version score of Rs 8.64 Cr.
