Dhadak 2 box office collection day 1: Dharma Productions, Zee Studios, and Cloud 9 Pictures jointly produced a spiritual sequel to 2018’s Dhadak, led by Triptii Dimri and Siddhant Chaturvedi, “Dhadak 2” debuted in worldwide theatres on 1 August 2025. On the opening day the romantic drama kicked off its box office journey with a decent Rs 3.5 Cr+ net in India, marking 28.10% less than Siddhant Chaturvedi’s last film Yudhra (Rs 4.52 Cr) and 91.12% less than Triptii Dimri’s last release Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 (Rs 36.60 Cr).

According to the veteran film critic and business analyst Taran Adarsh’s report, Triptii Dimri, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Zakir Hussain & Saurabh Sachdeva’s romantic drama Dhadak 2 kicked off its box office journey with Rs 3.65 Cr net in India, failed to meet the expectations, and ranked as the 18th top Hindi opening film in 2025 so far, beating Sonu Sood’s Fateh (Rs 2.61 Cr). The film was significantly affected by the multiple big releases. Despite the strong legacy of the inaugural installment of the film, which had collected a remarkable Rs 8.71 Cr, the sequel fell short of expectations with a below-par opening.
The Hindi version’s overall occupancy for romance drama was 22.85% on opening day, as per Sacnilk.com; the morning shows footfalls were 15.02%, and the afternoon shows footfalls saw a slight spike to 22.29%, followed by the evening and night shows footfalls, which were simultaneously quite similar at 22.03% & 32.07%.
