The crime thriller movie Kuttey was released on Friday, January 13th, directed by Aasmaan Bhardwaj. It was his first directing effort, with a star-studded cast that included Arjun Kapoor, Tabu, Radhika Madan, Naseeruddin Shah, and more. It has not fared well at the box office despite its impressive first-day box office results in the theaters. According to Box Office India estimates, Kuttey started at a very slow pace and earned 1.07 Cr on its first day, which is the not a very good collection.
Film critic Taran Adarsh tweeted about kuttey movie from his Twitter handle. “#Kuttey has a slow start on Day 1… Gathered pace in the evening shows at premium multiplexes… Needs to see a miraculous turnaround on Day 2 and 3… Fri ₹ 1.07 cr. #India biz.“
As Arjun Kapoor once said, while being a part of the Kuttey movie, “As an actor after ten years I got to be a part of this amazing ensemble and work with such amazing—most of them for the first time— for me it is a big tick mark from the bucket list of being an entertainer, a performer and the quest to be a better actor.”
Despite having big actors in the film, it could not impress the audience. Arjun Kapoor could not impress the audience, while Tabu, who has given back-to-back hit films, was disappointed this time. Legendary actor Naseeruddin Shah returned to films after so long, but his charm didn’t work either.
