Funky First Twitter Review: Vishwak Sen’s highly anticipated Telugu family rom-com film “Funky“, directed by Anudeep KV, finally hits the worldwide theatres today, on February 13, in the Valentine’s Day weekend 2026. Including the lead Sen, the film also features Kayadu Lohar, Naresh, and VTV Ganesh in crucial portrayals.

Funky A silly, over the top comedy where a few jokes land, but the rest is a complete dud!
The film is in the typical Anudeep style comedy zone, banking heavily on one-liners. The jokes work only in a few places, but the rest feels completely silly and gets irritating. The bad editing makes it feel like compilation of comedy scenes. The dubbing is also off.
Vishwak does not fit this style of comedy. Anudeep’s writing feels too repetitive and outdated, with very little story.

Funky Review: Low Voltage Jathi Ratnalu
Anudeep still feels stuck in the Jathi Ratnalu zone. Nothing wrong with that, but this time the naive innocence that made it work is mostly missing in Funky even though some jokes do keep clicking well in both halves. The bigger problem is the uneven flow.
Naveen Polishetty lit up Jathi Ratnalu. That magic is missing here for Vishwak.

A messy collection of random comedy scenes. A couple of jokes land, but most feel FORCE and EXHAUSTING.
There’s almost no story and the narration is WEAK. CHOPPY EDITING and DUBBING issues make it WORSE.
Cameos and satire try to save it, but the songs and BGM are FORGETTABLE.
Clearly not #VishwakSen’s zone. Overall, a DISAPPOINTING BELOW AVERAGE film.
