Twelve days prior to the grand premiere, the USA premiere advance booking started havoc at the box office, exceeding the remarkable $100K milestone. Reportedly, the distributors initially hesitated to acquire the theatrical rights due to high pricing. To date 285 theatres have opened the pre-booking in 736 shows, as per the North American market tracker Venky Box Office report.
