Housefull 5 global box office collection day 1: The talented Tarun Mansukhani directorial much-awaited comic-caper thriller “Housefull 5“, featuring Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Sanjay Dutt, and others, was released yesterday, on 6th May 2025, under the banner of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. On opening day it surpassed the fantastic Rs 39 Cr gross mark at the worldwide box office, marking the biggest opening for an Akshay Kumar-led film in 2025.
In the Indian, the comedy thriller began its box office journey with Rs 24.35 Cr net, marked as the 3rd top Hindi net opening film in 2025, just after Chhaava (Rs 33.1 Cr) and Sikandar (Rs 30.06 Cr); that’s not all – it’s the biggest opening for Khiladi Kumar out of 3 releases in 2025, beating Sky Force (Rs 15.30 Cr) and Kesari Chapter 2 (Rs 7.84 Cr) in a huge lead,, which was released on limited screens and successfully completed 50 days in theatres today and is still running.

According to the latest box office update, the fifth instalment of the Housefull franchise film grossed an impressive Rs 39.71 Cr at the worldwide box office. For raising the score, the Indian market alone contributed the majority, Rs 28.99 Cr gross, and the rest, Rs 10.72 Cr, by the overseas market. All eyes are on day 2’s (7th June)surge due to the Bakri Eid holiday. There is a high expectation it will smash the Rs 100 Cr milestone by the end of the opening weekend globally.

According to the North American film market tracker and exhibitor Venky Box Office report, Sajid Nadiadwala’s backed film till 7 pm PST racked up an outstanding $298,601 (Rs 2.56 Cr) gross from 417 theatres; the final opening day score of the region will breach the $300K milestone.
