Japan Day 2 Box Office Collection: The Raju Murugan-helmed Tamil-language heist action comedy film “Japan” opened with an impressive ₹ 4.15 crore net at the domestic box office. On the second day, the Karthi and Anu Emmanuel starrer film saw a 31.33% dip at the box office with ₹ 2.85 crore net in India, bringing the total India net to ₹ 7.00 crore. While the similar day released movie Jigarthanda Double X takes an outstanding jump on opening Saturday.

Japan had an overall 38.55% Tamil occupancy across the domestic market. Morning shows footfalls were 26.80%, afternoon shows footfalls bounced impressively to 40.89%, followed by evening and night shows footfalls of 40.15% and 46.37% (highest footfalls of the day), respectively.
And in the Telugu version, the film had an overall occupancy of 19.98%; morning shows footfalls were 16.14%, afternoon shows footfalls were 20.66%, followed by evening and night shows footfalls of 17.51% and 25.62%.

The Japan movie was racked ₹ 6.50 Cr gross at the worldwide box office. After overcoming 2 days, Karthi and Anu Emmanuel starrer films stand at ₹ 7.00 Cr net and ₹ 8.20 Cr gross in India, and in the overseas market minted ₹ 2.00 Cr, bringing the 2 days global collection to ₹ 10.20 Cr.
