Kajol led next title Maa release date locked: One of the finest actresses in the Indian film industry, Kajol, who was last seen in Netflix’s critically acclaimed drama thriller Do Patti (2024), made her last silver screen appearance in 2022’s Salaam Venky, a slice-of-life drama film. Now the dynamic actress is returning to the silver screens with the mythological horror thriller “Maa,” set to grace the silver screens on 27th June, 2025, in Hindi, Bengali, Tamil and Telugu, under the banner of Jio Studios and Devgn Films. Including Kajol, other star-studded members of the venture are Ronit Bose Roy, Indraneil Sengupta, and Kherin Sharma in the crucial portrayals.

2024’s blockbuster Shaitaan makers are back with another horror genre film, Maa, to deliver a spine-chilling experience. Today, on 10th March, the makers of the film Jio Studios took to the Twitter handle with an intense motion poster announcing that the mythological horror thriller is locked to land on the big screens on 27th June 2025. The post captioned: “दस्तक शैतान ने दी और अब जवाब माँ देगी (The devil knocked and now Maa i,e., mother will answer) Hell is here… so is the Goddess! Battle begins on 27th June 2025, in cinemas near you.”

The much-awaited Hindi mythological horror film is helmed by Vishal Furia, with the plot penned by Saiwyn Quadras and produced by Ajay Devgn & Jyoti Deshpande and co-produced by Kumar Mangat Pathak. Stars teamed up with the film are Kajol, Ronit Bose Roy, Indraneil Sengupta, Kherin Sharma, and others.
