Due to the controversial content, it faced many challenges in the CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification). Finally, today (17th October), after a long wait, the political drama received the green signal from the respected censor board. After completing the censorship formalities, the Bollywood Diva Kangana shows courtesy towards fans for their long patience and support and also writes that she will announce the release date soon.

On Thursday (17th October), Kangana Ranaut happily shared the news on her social media handles and captioned: “We are glad to announce we have received the censor certificate for our movie Emergency, we will be announcing the release date soon. Thank you for your patience and support”
Some reports have unveiled that, after meeting all the requirements for the censor certification, the film has been awarded a U/A certificate from the Mumbai CBFC and also got 146.17 minutes (2 hours, 26 minutes, and 17 seconds) of theatrical runtime.
