Kantara Chapter-1 box office early estimate day 1: Hombale Films’ latest magnum opus, “Kantara: Chapter 1“, directed, written and key featured by Rishab Shetty, finally arrived on the silver screen on 2nd October 2025, with the Dusshera festival. Opening day’s early estimate report for the film set a new benchmark for the Kannada industry in 2025 so far, as it racked up an incredible Rs 50 Cr+ net across the PAN Indian languages. That’s not all – it became the second biggest domestic debut grosser post-pandemic, just after KGF Chapter 2 (Rs 116 Cr).

Kantara Chapter-1 day 1 Indian box office update (till 8 PM)
According to the industry tracker Sacnilk.com’s early estimate report, Kantara Chapter-1 till 8 PM had already amassed a staggering Rs 53.32 Cr net after completing the evening shows. The latest momentum indicates the final opening day Indian net score is projected to cross the Rs 60 Cr net mark nationwide. The Kannada version alone is expected to contribute over Rs 40 Cr, marking the biggest Kannada opening film in 2025. If achieved, this milestone would make the film’s debut jaw-droppingly 1,951% higher than the prequel to the 2022 film Kantara, which began its box office journey with Rs 1.95 Cr.
