Karan Arjun re-release box office collection day 1: Rakesh Roshan’s directorial 1995’s blockbuster “Karan Arjun” re-released on the big screens after around 3 decades, on November 22, 2024, with Ajay Devgn‘s 2-decade-old film “Naam.” While Salman and SRK’s re-release film opens with Rs 26 lakhs, it beats Ajay Devgn’s film Naam, which debuts at box office with Rs 20 lakhs and Abhishek Bachchan’s drama film I Want To Talk (Approx. Rs. 25 lakhs).
Karan Arjun is now the first Bollywood film that has been re-released worldwide; in India, there are 1114 theatres & 2208 shows, and in the overseas market, there are 250 theatres.

According to the Bollywood Hungama report, Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Raakhee Gulzar, Mamta Kulkarni, and Kajol led the fantasy action thriller Karan Arjun after a long period, re-released and generated a handsome Rs 0.26 Cr; registered as the 3rd top net opening re-release film of all time. Just behind this year’s release, Tumbbad secured the top spot with Rs. 1.50 Cr and Laila Majnu with Rs 0.30 Cr.
It surpasses big Hindi re-releases Veer-Zaara (Rs 0.20 Cr), Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein (Rs 0.20 Cr), Kal Ho Naa Ho (Rs. 0.12 Cr) and Rockstar (Rs. 0.07 Cr). Simanteniously, it also overtakes Allu Arjun-fronted 2021’s PAN Indian blockbuster Pushpa: The Rise, also re-released this week, as the sequel of the film Pushpa 2: The Rule gears up to release on December 5th, but it opens with Rs 0.15 Cr net in India, around 73% lower than Karan Arjun.
