Kingston box office early estimate day 1: The debutante Kamal Prakash directed and wrote the Tamil fantasy horror adventure film “Kingston,” led by dynamic G. V. Prakash Kumar, which was released in the silver screens this Friday, on 7th March, 2025, under the banners of Parallel Universe Pictures and Zee Studios. According to the reputed industry tracker Sacnilk.com report, G. V. Prakash Kumar’s 25th film Kingston on opening day scored roughly Rs 0.90 Cr net in India; out of the score alone, the Tamil format contributed Rs 0.70 Cr and became the 9th top Tamil opening film in 2025, by replacing Jiiva lead historical horror action comedy Aghathiyaa (Rs 0.56 Cr).
The report also added the reason behind a decent opening number is the low overall occupancy of 14.01% in Tamil version; morning shows footfalls were 11.97%, afternoon shows footfalls were 16.82%, followed by evening and night shows footfalls were 11.24% and 16.00%. Simultaneously, the Telugu version’s overall occupancy was also poor at 10.84%.
