Kuberaa Plot Summary
Kuberaa follows a powerful business personnel, Neeraj Mitra (Jim Sarbh), whose ambitious mind discovers another huge source of money, a rare oil reserve in the Bay of Bengal. To take it over, he started backing the politicians, as he knows which has the potential to deliver him a strong boost in his wealth, influence, and political control.
To make it happen, he chose an honest former CBI officer, Deepak (Nagarjuna), who now is in prison for his refusal to join corruption. Neeraj created the odd circumstances which force Deepak to join his corrupted plan: to accomplish this dirty job quietly, they plan to use a group of beggars who belong across the country.
Following that, a kind-hearted innocent man, Deva (Dhanush), who is also part of this group, doesn’t have any idea about where they are dragged in, but when he discovers the plan, he escapes. What will happen with him? How will he meet with Sameera (Rashmika Mandanna)? Can he survive these difficult circumstances?
Kuberaa Movie Review
It’s a Dhanush-driven film, who has performed the innocent and humble Deva’s character brilliantly. His versatility once again proves why he achieved a national award, and this delivery is also worth receiving another national award.
Nagarjuna, as an honest CBI officer, perfectly captures this moral conflict and shows his character tremendously, that he is the victim of this corrupt system, not the key evil. His emotional bond with Dhanush’s character, alongside the threat from Neeraj, was well handled.
Alongside Rashmika Mandanna, Sameera played well, especially his chemistry with Deva, which shines well; alongside Jim Sarbh’s character, Neeraj was fantastically played, but requires slightly more space than the other characters.
Sekhar Kammula as a director delivers another solid performance, but as a writer with Chaithanya Pingali, in some places, it looks lengthy. Niketh Bommireddy’s cinematography was well captured; Karthika Srinivas’s editing could be improved, and the dynamic Devi Sri Prasad’s music is notable, and the special mention is required for BGM (Background Music), which successfully fulfils the environment requirement. In the intense sequences, the BGM helps the audience to feel perfectly the situations.
Baap of Movies Verdict on Kuberaa
Overall, this is a praiseworthy delivery by Dhanush and others, which has an appropriate blend of survival, crime, drama, and powers with strong emotion. This is a must-watch film, which was shot simultaneously in the Telugu and Tamil languages and also available to watch in other Pan-Indian languages.
