According to the latest box office early trend report, Prithviraj Sukumaran directed and acted in the political action thriller L2 Empuraan, which opened at the Indian box office with Rs 22-22.5 Cr net in India; out of that, the Malayalam version contributed the majority, around Rs 19.50-20 Cr net, marking it as the biggest Malayalam net opening film of 2025, while 2019’s inaugural installment of the franchise Lucifer debuted with Rs 6.10 Cr.
