The Telugu film industry is in mourning for the huge loss of veteran actor and former MLA Kota Srinivasa Rao, who passed away on 13th July 2025, at the age of 83, at his residence in Hyderabad for age-related issues. Several prominent figures from the industry paid their last tribute to the legendary actor.

The legendary actor had been battling age-related issues for the past 3 years. Kota’s death leaves the nation shocked; several prominent figures from the film fraternity, including Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan, Brahmanandam, Prakash Raj, Venkatesh Daggubati, and others, also come to pay their final respects and honour his remarkable legacy.

Kota Srinivasa Rao’s legacy
The Padma Shri awardee entertained the audience for more than 4 decades and worked on over 750 films throughout his illustrious career. Although he had stepped away from acting in recent years due to health challenges, only for the superstar Pawan Kalyan does he leave behind a final performance in Hari Hara Veera Mallu.
Kota Srinivasa Rao to appear in Hari Hara Veera Mallu
The legendary actor earlier, in an interview, said that he had shot 2 days for the much-awaited historical swashbuckler action drama film “Hari Hara Veera Mallu” for a special appearance, which is locked to grace the silver screens on 24 July 2025. While the film is scheduled for a two-part release, he didn’t confirm in which part he is going to appear. He also shared his experience working with the dynamic actor & Deputy CM of Andhra Pradesh, Pawan Kalyan, which was thrilling.
