Leo Box Office Preview: Lokesh Kanagaraj helmed and the much anticipated Tamil action thriller Leo gearing up to smashing entry in the worldwide theatres on October 19th, under the banner of Seven Screen Studio. Features of the film include ensamble Vjay, Sanjay Dutt, Trisha, and Arjun in the pivotal roles. The film was censored with a U/A certificate by the Central Board of Film Certification, with an approved 164-minute (2-hour, 44-minute) official runtime.
Prior, the makers opened overseas advance booking, and the film received a massive response. Even in the U.K. market, the film overtook Pathaan’s (£319K) and Jawan’s (£307K) opening day advance booking only in the first few days. As per the Koimoi report on October 17, the film surpassed ₹ 125 crore globally for the entire weekend, and this figure is aiming to touch ₹ 200 crore.
Leo All set to Release Nearly 20000 screens Worldwide
As per the Times of India report, the action thriller is aiming to debut on nearly 20,000 screens across the globe. Out of the massive screen count, around 15000 domestic screenings will be held on October 19, and 5000 screens will be in the overseas market. As per the Pinkvilla report, Leo is targeting to release around 1500 screens in the Hindi version.
Leo Earth Shattering Advance Booking
Leo shattered many records with the advance booking, even though the film smashed the advance booking record of the recently released Hindi mega-blockbuster film “Jawan” and the Tamil movie “Jailer.” The film surpasses Jawan’s total sold ticket count; while Jawan sold around 15.79 lakh tickets, Leo sold 19.97 lakh tickets, and is gearing up to chase the massive Rs. 40.75 crore gross advance booking collection. On the other hand, the film smashed the highest advance-booking Tamil film of 2023, Jailer’s record.
As per the Sacnilk portal traking report, Leo has sold 1636580 tickets in Tamil 2D format, which are worth Rs. 32.26 crore; in Tamil IMAX 8844 tickets, worth Rs. 73.20 crore; in Telugu 2D 313554 tickets, which are worth Rs. 4.83 crore; and in Hindi 2D version, the film has sold 38319 tickets and garnered Rs. 57.19 crore. Totally, the film has sold over 19.97 Lac tickets for the opening advance booking and grossed over Rs. 38.4 crore. For the first time in Indian film history, any film has sold over 20 Lac tickets only in the domestic market for the opening day.

As per the eatly trend and the Global Advance booking report, the Tamil Mass Action Thriller prepared to open over Rs. 130–140 crore gross at the global box office, expecting to encounter the highest opening Indian film of 2023.
