Mahavatar Narsimha box office collection day 14: Kleem Productions & Hombale Films jointly produced the animated epic mythological action film “Mahavatar Narsimha“, the first instalment in the planned animated seven-part Mahavatar Cinematic Universe, which was released in the worldwide theatres on 25 July 2025. Despite facing stiff competition from multiple new releases in its second week, in the second week it maintained the momentum firmly and concluded the 14-day domestic box office run with a solid Rs 118 Cr+ net, cementing its status as a blockbuster in the animated film space. The Ashwin Kumar-directed and Jayapurna Das-written gripping animated mythological film opened to strong word of mouth and garnered an impressive Rs 44.75 Cr net in the inaugural week.
Maintaining the rock-solid hold, the strong weekday delivery helped it to secure an impressive feat: Rs 112.8 Cr net over the last 13 days. Followed by the last day of the second week, on day 14 (2nd Thursday), the animation film saw a marginal 10.83% decline and added Rs 5.35 Cr net, resulting in the total Indian net score being pushed to an inspiring note, Rs 118.15 Cr.

It’s worth adding that the film racked up a notable Rs 44.75 Cr in the opening week, followed by the second week’s collection surging to Rs 73.40 Cr, which marked a massive 64.02% higher figure than the inaugural week, a rare feat for any animated film in India.

The film has the potential to maintain similar momentum until the big ones arrive, like WAR 2 and Coolie, which will hit the silver screens on 14th August, on the occasion of Independence Day weekend. It has already become the first-ever animated film in Indian cinema history which surpasses the Rs 100 Cr milestone and is on track to rise on this graph much higher.
