Mahavatar Narsimha box office collection day 17: Based on the ten avatars of Bhagavan Vishnu, the first instalment in the ambitious animated seven-part Mahavatar Cinematic Universe film “Mahavatar Narsimha” has delivered a spectacular third weekend at the box office, scoring over Rs 50 Cr net in India, setting a new weekend record for the film since its release, the biggest weekend score for the film.
The 3rd Saturday (day 16) score of Rs 20 Cr+ net, powered by the Raksha Bandhan holiday, pushed it past the milestone figure. With strong word-of-mouth and festive footfalls, Mahavatar Narsimha continues to dominate theatres nationwide.

Kleem Productions and Hombale Films‘ joint production film Mahavatar Narsimha generated Rs 145.90 Cr net over the last 16 days in the domestic market; for raising the figure alone, the Hindi version accumulated a massive Rs 108.65 Cr, which has already achieved the feat of being the 7th top Hindi opening film in 2025 so far, just behind Akshay Kumar-led Sky Force (Rs 131.44 Cr).
The animated mythological film did not just stop there; day 17 (3rd Sunday) saw another solid 12% surge and racked in the range of Rs 22.5-23 Cr net, which introduced a total domestic score of Rs 168.40-168.90 Cr. It’s worth adding that the 3rd weekend score reached Rs 50.5 Cr (approx.), which marked a 9.31% higher score than the second weekend’s Rs 46.2 Cr net score.

The animated film still has the potential to dominate the box office with fantastic hold even on the weekday until the massive clash between War 2 and Coolie takes place on 14th August, which might impact its box office run; it will be interesting to see how it will perform from 14th August.
