Merry Christmas had an overall 11.56% Hindi occupancy across the domestic theaters on the opening day. Morning shows footfalls were 6.81%, afternoon shows footfalls were 8.98%, followed by evening and night shows footfalls of 12.14% and 18.31%.
And in the Tamil version, the film had an overall occupancy of 18.02%. Morning shows footfalls were 11.29%, afternoon shows footfalls were 15.08%, side by side evening and night shows footfalls were 19.58% and 26.13%, respectively.
