Mirage box office collection day 1: Asif Ali and Aparna Balamurali are the key features of the Malayalam crime thriller “Mirage“, which was released on the silver screens on 19th September, this Friday. Despite the talented star cast, the writing and visuals failed to enhance the experience, resulting in the film opening to a modest Rs 1 Cr+ net in India and failing to meet the expectations. Jeethu Joseph helmed the film, the plot was penned by Aparna R. Tarakad, and it was backed by Mukesh R. Mehta, Jatin M. Sethi, C. V. Sarathi, Vikram Mehra & Siddharth Anand Kumar.

Mirage box office collection day 1 surpasses Maranamass
As per the latest box office update, Mirage opened with an Rs 1-1.5 Cr net in India, marking the 14th top Malayalam opening movie in 2025 so far, surpassing Maranamass‘ score of Rs 1 Cr net. It’s worth adding that Mirage recorded a 941% higher opening compared to Asif Ali’s previous release, Abhyanthara Kuttavaali (₹0.12 Cr net). All eyes are now on the weekend trend; will it hold well at the box office or not?
