Padmaavat to Re-Release on 24th January: The 7 National Film Awards and 12 Filmfare Awards-winning director Sanjay Leela Bhansali‘s one of critically and commercially acclaimed movies, “Padmaavat,” is locked to return to the silver screens on 24th January 2025, just a day ahead of its 7th anniversary. It debuted in global theatres for the first time on 25 January 2018, with the star-studded Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, and Aditi Rao Hydari in pivotal roles.

Yesterday, on 22nd January, Bhansali Productions shared a poster on the official Twitter handle featuring the iconic looks of Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor, and Ranveer Singh, and captioned the post: “Witness the epic tale on the big screen again. #Padmaavat in cinemas on 24th January.”
The film has to face off against Akshay Kumar, Veer Pahariya, and Sara Ali Khan’s starrer patriotic action drama “Sky Force,” which is locked to release on a similar day, on 24 January 2025. The Republic Day holiday will be crucial when both films will showcase their full potential at the box office.

The Sanjay Leela Bhansali-helmed Hindi historical drama, set in the backdrop of the 13th century, is based on Malik Muhammad Jayasi-authored epic poem Padmavat, which tells the story of Queen Padmavati, admired for her beauty and wisdom.
