Patriot Release Date Announced on Republic Day: Mohanlal & Mammootty‘s next highly anticipated Malayalam action thriller, “Patriot,” is now officially scheduled to release on the big screens on April 23, 2026. The makers made this huge announcement on the special occasion of Republic Day, hinting at the film’s strong nationalistic undertones. Directed and written by Mahesh Narayanan, the film will hit the big screens under the banners of Anto Joseph Film Company and Kichappus Entertainments, in association with CR Saleem Productions and Blue Tigers London.
Earlier to the release date announcement, the makers had introduced the key portrayals with their character posters, including the dynamic duo, Fahadh Faasil & Nayanthara.

Following the unveiling of the character posters on Sunday, on Monday, 26th January, on the occasion of Republic Day, the makers finally dropped the first-look poster of Patriot, which showcases the intense avatars of Mammootty, Mohanlal, Nayanthara, Fahadh Faasil, Kunchacko Boban, and Renji Panicker. The caption of the post read, “Unleashing the spirit of fearless voices, this Republic Day” #PATRIOT arrives worldwide on April 23, 2026. The countdown begins NOW”
Helmed and penned by Mahesh Narayanan, the action entertainer was financed by Anto Joseph &K.G. Anil Kumar. Sushin Shyam handled the cinematography, which was edited by Mahesh Narayanan & Rahul Radhakrishnan, and the music was composed by Sushin Shyam.
