Lokesh Kanagaraj‘s directorial and written Tamil actioner, Coolie, accumulated Rs 216 Cr (Tamil: 141.45 Cr) net across the domestic market over the last 6 days, according to the market tracker Sacnilk.com. Followed by day 7, despite the non-holiday, the action thriller continues leading over the same-day release of the Hrithik Roshan & Jr NTR-fronted spy action thriller “WAR 2” and saw a 21.05% decline, minting Rs 7.5 Cr; out of the Tamil version alone, Rs 4.7 Cr was contributed, which brings the total Indian score to Rs 223.5 Cr.
It’s worth adding that the Tamil version independently secured Rs 146.15 Cr and stands just Rs 1.6 Cr away from taking over the crown of top Tamil-scoring film in 2025, aiming to achieve it by tomorrow, on day 8 (2nd Thursday).
