Sahasam Story Analysis: A Web of Crime, Love, and Coincidences
Sahasam’s story revolves around the famous Malayalam saying, which says, “Yuddhangal eppozhum nadakunnath penninu allenklil panathinum vendiya,” and it means wars are fought either for women or for wealth.
The film jumps between a lot of storylines, and that’s where it becomes very confusing. One of the key stories of the movie involves Jeeva (Ramzan Muhammed), who is a young IT professional, and he is trying to rescue his girlfriend Sera (Gouri G Kishan) from her home before she’s married off to someone else.
The film has other aspects that involve Victor (Yog Japee) and Wolf (Babu Antony), who were once allies but are now bitter enemies. They are locked in a battle, as they both want access to crores’ worth of cryptocurrency. On the other hand, a Narcotic Control Bureau officer named Rajeev (Narain) is on their trail. And the face-off between them adds spice to the show.
The first half is focused on introducing these characters and developing the tracks for every individual, and the second half brings them together for one long night, which leads to a chaotic night filled with confusion.
Sahasam Movie Review: Characters Struggle to Make an Impact
Sahasam has many talented cast members, but none of them were able to deliver a memorable performance. This failure can be because the film doesn’t invest much time in developing the background story of the characters. The film was never able to build any motivations that left audiences with little reason to care about the outcome.
Babu Antony can be the only positive thing about this show, as he stands out by bringing some gravitas to the otherwise noisy proceedings. However, his character wasn’t sharp because we never learn why he is so desperate for the cryptocurrency. Moreover, Jeeva and his friends are ready to risk their lives for someone whom they don’t even know, which builds confusion among the viewers. As a result, emotional engagement is minimal, and the stakes never feel real.
Where Sahasam’s Comedy and Action Falter
Director Bibin Krishna had an excellent debut with the twist-heavy thriller Twenty One Gms, which decided to take a sharp turn into crime-comedy territory here. Unfortunately, the transition doesn’t fully pay off, and the film is receiving a lot of backlash from the fans.
The screenplay mistakes are visible, and with that, the chaotic storytelling makes things worse for the show. Though the film is packed with elements designed to entertain, such as drugs, guns, car chases, romance, and bromance, the execution feels formulaic. The humour lands in a few moments; otherwise, it looks very forced and drowning.
Sahasam’s Moments of Fun Amid the Chaos
Sahasam might look like a mess, but a few moments will make you laugh and feel connected. The chase sequences are perfect; they are briskly executed, and the soundtrack, especially the viral Eth Mood number, is very special, as it injects much-needed vibrancy. This makes Sahasam a passable watch if you’re in the mood for something loud and not overly concerned with logic.

Technical Strengths of Sahasam
Sahasam stands strong when it comes to cinematography, because it adds a glossy polish to the action. The music department has won it for the movie because of its EDM-heavy score. This helps maintain an energetic tone; however, at dinner parties, it might occasionally overpower the narrative.
These technical elements help keep Sahasam somewhat saved from being a total disaster or make it a little watchable.
Sahasam Trailer
Sahasam Trailer, when released, promised a perfect watch for the viewers who like comedy thrillers. However, the movie felt somewhat short in the execution. We urge you to go through the Sahasam trailer before booking the tickets.
Baap of Movies Final Verdict: Sahasam as a Pre-Onam Entertainer
Overall, Sahasam ends up as a mixed bag, and it somehow fails to live up to expectations. However, it’s not a complete washout; there are moments of fun, an energetic soundtrack, and a few lively performances. But the lack of strong writing and character depth keeps it from truly clicking.
If you are here for a pre-Onam timepass film, then it works in short bursts. Just don’t expect a comedy classic or a tightly woven crime caper. Watch if you want some noisy, colorful entertainment and if you are willing to overlook narrative flaws.
