The film revolves around two childhood friends, Deva AKA Salaar (Prabhas) and Vardharaja Mannar AKA Vardha (Prithviraj Sukumaran), both of whom are staying in a city called Khansaar. Deva promises Vardha that whenever he gets into trouble in any situation, he will save him. Raja Mannar (Jagapathi Babu) is the father of Vardha, who is ruling in the city of Khansaar. He plans to hand over the successor to his son, Vardha.
After what challenging situation in Vardha’s life does he call Deva to save him? What does Vardha actually want from Deva? What caused two best friends to come to each other’s rivel? Who is Aadhya Krishnakanth (Shruti Hassan)? Slowly, the 2 hours and 57 minutes of the movie unfolded the answers.
Salaar Part 1 Ceasefire Movie Review
Finally, after a long time, the Rebel star is back in his own full-flag action-packed genre against the dark backdrop, and the helmer of the KGF franchise, Prashanth Neel, has an incredible talent for realising how the audience eagerly desires to watch Herculean Prabhas.
On the other hand, the actor Prabhas, as Deva AKA Salaar, delivers an overwhelming performance in the movie. The character contains minimal dialogue but is full of violations and routhlessness, which obviously leave the audience spellbound. The other lead of the film, Prithviraj Sukumaran, contributed a decent performance in the film, but the helmer was unable to add the significance of Prithviraj Sukumaran’s character, Vardha.
The leading lady of the film, Shruti Hassan, with her short screen presence, played quite well. Side by side, Jagapathi Babu, Bobby Simha, John Vijay, and Sriya Reddy were well presented by the director.
If we look at the negative aspects of the film compared to the first half, the second half is quite streachy, and a few violations are shown in the film that look like forced inserts in the film.
Baap of Movies Review
Overall, director Prashanth Neel reused his KGF’s dark theme and, he elevates it a step ahead. Ravi Basrur‘s score matches perfectly with the film. Ujwal Kulakarni‘s editing was praiseworthy, but in the second half, it required more refinement and cinematography by Bhuwan Gowda, and he nailed it. Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire is a Prabhas-fronted, well-presented mass action drama!
