Despite receiving mixed reviews from the audience, the film received enormously positive reviews from film critics and prominent figures like Genelia Deshmukh, Shabana Azmi, Jackie Shroff, one of the finest filmmakers in Bollywood, Anurag Kashyap, and the Master Blaster of Cricket, Sachin Tendulkar. Salman Khan took to Twitter on March 14th to share his review of the latest directorial by Kiran Rao and also express his desire to work with her. He also added:
