Sikandar global box office collection day 2 (official): The Salman Khan-led, high-octane action flick “Sikandar“, directed and written by A. R. Murugadoss, roars past the Rs 100 Cr gross mark globally within 2 days. In the domestic box office, while it opened with a good Rs 30.06 Cr net, followed by day 2 (1st Monday), on the occasion of Eid, it witnessed a decent 10.98% spike and added ₹ 33.36 Cr net, while the numbers should have been much, much higher, resulting in a total domestic net score entering the Half Century Club, and it stands at Rs 63.42 Cr.
The Eid festival and Salman Khan film mean box office typhoon, but this time, despite having the biggest release ever for a Hindi film, it fails to attract the audience due to mixed word of mouth. As expected on Eid, mass belt saw growth, but the main lack is in several urban centres, which are underperforming despite the holiday.
