As per the latest box office update by the veteran film critic and business analyst Taran Adarsh, Sitaare Zameen Par began its box office journey with Rs 10.70 Cr net in India, followed on day 2 by rewriting the box office record with the strongest second day jump in decades, adding Rs 19.90 Cr net. After 2 days of the Indian box office run, the total Indian net collection reached Rs 30.60 Cr, and the trend is hinting it has the potential to breach the massive Rs 50 Cr net mark by the end of the opening weekend.

For raising this strong number, the Indian alone contribution was Rs 36.43 Cr, and the overseas contribution was Rs 11.69 Cr ($1.35 million). All eyes are now on the massive Sunday jump.
