Sunny Deol’s Next ‘Gabru’ Gets New Release Date: After the massive box office success of “Border 2“, Sunny Deol is set to return in 2026 with his next project, “Gabru“, directed and written by Shashank Udapurkar. The emotional drama film was earlier scheduled to release on March 13, but recently the film has been postponed, and the film is now locked to hit cinemas worldwide on May 8th, 2026. Apart from Sunny Paji in lead, the film also features Simran, Darshan Jariwala, Prit Kamani, and others.

Sunny Deol Starrer ‘Gabru’ Release Date Postponed
As per the report, ‘Gabru’ was initially titled “Safar”, but it was later renamed. During its initial stage, the makers wanted to release the film on OTT, but the lead of the film, Sunny Deol, convinced the team that the project deserved a full-fledged theatrical outing. It is now postponed from the past scheduled date and is scheduled to release on May 8th, 2026.
During a recent interview with ANI, Sunny Deol revealed ‘Gabru’ is one of the films closest to his heart. He also described the film as “themes of courage, identity, and resilience; elements that have always defined his cinematic journey.”
Directed and written by Shashank Udapurkar, the Hindi drama film is locked to release on May 8th, under the banners of Echelon Productions and Om Chhangani Films. Om Chhangani & Vishal Rana jointly backed the film. cinematography handled by Vishal Sinha, and music composed by Anurag Saikia.
