The American superhero film, based on the eponymous character from DC Comics, “Superman,” began its box office journey in the vicinity of Rs 6.9-7.30 Cr net in India, as per the early estimate report. For raising the figure, the English version alone contributed the majority, in the range of Rs 5-5.20 Cr net, marked as the second biggest opening English film in India in the running year, followed by the biggest of the year so far, Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning (Rs 11 Cr).
