Swatantrya Veer Savarkar Teaser out: Randeep Hooda‘s first ever directorial debut, Swatantrya Veer Savarka, inspired by the real life of Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, was released on Sunday on the eve of the 140th birth anniversary of the freedom fighter and Hindutva ideologue.

The teaser shows a query on Gandhi ji‘s ethics and Randeep, given a voiceover, and a statement that Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was not incorrect, but if he had not been alternate on his perception of peace and non-violence, India would have been sovereign 35 years before. We see him as Savarkar, in glasses, being taken over by the British and imprisoned. The voiceover further says that only a few patrons participated in the freedom brawl, and the rest “just needed to obtain political assassination in the attire of the fight for independence.
The teaser went on to tag Savarkar as the legend who encouraged Bhagat Singh, Subhash Chandra Bose, and the equipped rebellion to stand against British rule in India. The film was scheduled to be released on May 26th, but the makers postponed the release date; there has not been any confirmation of the release date yet by the makers.
