The Versatile actress debuted in the Bengali film industry in 1979 with the film Mrinal Sen helmed, “Parasuram,” which won its own Silver Award at the 11th Moscow International Film Festival, alongside the National Film Award for Best Actor category, the National Film Award for Best Editing category, and the National Film Award for Special Mention (feature film). The actress has delivered her celestial talent through many films. Her last film was “Palan,” released in 2023, the sequel to Ekdin Pratidin. The actress contributed her distinct voice for the film “Chokher Bali” for Aishwarya Rai’s voice dub.
